Best practices

With the entry into force of  of the CRPD Convention, states  parties  have started to implement its provisions with the aim of bringing visible changes in the life of persons with disabilities. Below are excerpts of some good practices developed by states.

Tunisia


  "The Committee welcomes the amendment of article 319 of the Penal Code in 2010, which prohibits all forms of violence against children, regardless of who the perpetrator – including parents or tutors – may be."


Spain

 
 "The Committee notes with satisfaction Act 51/2003 on equality of opportunity, non-discrimination and “universal accessibility” for persons with disabilities as well as its enabling regulations, in particular the royal decrees providing for basic standards of accessibility."
"The Committee commends the State party for establishing independent monitoring mechanisms in full compliance with article 33, paragraph 2, of the Convention."
